This Little Star
A New Children’s Book by me Amy Roots! (perfect for story time with your Little Star!)
There was a time when I would be wriggling at the end of my parent’s bed. My mum acting out the most magical stories; with all of the voices. Sometimes, I’d squeeze up onto the narrow window sill in my room, looking up at the stars through my Dad’s binoculars.
We tend to hold on to those childhood memories. Those moments that mean so much. But one day they just stopped!
In fairness, I was 25 and married by that point :p
Have you ever wanted to hold on to something, and never let it go? Like a baby.
I was invited to baby shower, and we were each asked to bring a children’s book; with a personal message written inside. But non of the books I looked at had that same magic.
So, I wrote This Little Star! And everyone who has read it loves it!
I can see it being cherished. Just like my favourite childhood book, still kept, lovingly, under my bed.
